I actually think this is more ethical. If they would have played 10-15games with their holdovers and JV team since they didn’t have a full varsity roster they would have been ranked so low and would have been a cakewalk to a CIF and state championship somewhere in D4 or D5 but now they will be ranked only on playing at this high level and will likely end up in the open or D1
