: : : : 2022-23 OPEN TEAMS

: : : : You heard it here first. Watched a ton of teams this summer.

: : : : 1. Sierra Canyon- Returns their whole team plus high additions makes them the best HS team in the last 10 years in So Cal
: : : : 2. Etiwanda- This years team might be better than last. Too bad Coach K is lights out the better coach than Stan. Etiwanda 2nd fiddle in '23
: : : : 3- Mater Dei- Addition of Deal huge for MD. Wont matter as they are 20 points worse than top 2
: : : : 4. Centennial- Lost a lot but gained a lot. Coach Woods has them knocking on the door.
: : : : 5. Santiago- Returns a whole lot. If they have no defections this team can be really good
: : : : 6. Rosary- Wow. Lost their stud but this could be the best most well rounded team in they have had.
: : : : 7. Chaminade- This team is loaded. On paper lost a lot but have a slew of transfers and tons of young talent. May be the deepest team in So Cal. Expect the Mission to have 2 teams in Open
: : : : 8. Brentwood- Surprise team has the nucleus of the team back. Excellent guard play. Can be one of 6 teams for the final spot. Better hope they aren't it

: : : : Others:
: : : : Orangewood
: : : : Marlborough
: : : : Bishop Montgomery
: : : : Windward
: : : : North Torrance
: : : : Esperanza
: : : : Orange Lutheran

: : :
: : : Oak Christian? My apologies, I was referring to the OC Boys Program. The sky is the limit with the OC Girls Program. Shamblin is a very talented player and has a good supporting cast to build upon their 2022 CIF Championship.

: OC Boys: Unless they have overhauled their roster with transfer students, they will be lucky to have a winning record, let alone be assigned to the OPEN Division. Last year they had one bonified varsity player and 10 Soph/Frosh level players rounding out their varsity roster.

Thoughts on La Salle? Returning the bulk of its roster from last year's runner-up placing at State.
