By all means Troy did a great job to almost pull the upset like last year but Sonora was able to get the job done. As too the winning with class, unfortunately a coach can only do so much when the parents are acting the same way. From all accounts coach does things the right way and more will follow her leadership but some things will always fall through the cracks.

: : : : : : : : : : : I played when we beat troy at our house a few years ago. The troy coach came into our locker room to congratulate us. But then he threw out the excuse that they were young and were down this year. I learned what the word douche bag meant that night.
: : : : : : : : : : The observations were about Sonora players forgetting to celebrate their win and focusing on trash talking the crowd DURING the game. I do not EVER remember Troy girls behaving this way in consecutive league titles since 1993 even with Sonora's incredibly packed gyms full of fans that were focused on Troy. Even if you don't like Troy's coach, you have to admire Troy players who have a long history of behaving like champions and good sports whether they win or lose. Because these games, or league championships or even CIF wins will not determine the future success for any of these girls. One day you end up playing your last competitive basketball game. But your character counts every single day of your life.

: : : : : : : I was in attendance at a JV game where Troy played only six players (15 total on the team) even though they were up 35 points at half. The whole time Roger was berating officials from the stands and eventually got into a fight with the husband of the other school's coach right before halftime. Not a place I would want my kid to play if that's the culture.

The assistant coach and husband of your head coach was an idiot and a hothead. Always yelling at the referees and always talking shit to opposing players and coaches. What is even more sad that you are attacking a coach that has had a difficult time lately. His wife almost died and is still not in the best health. Meanwhile try to carry on a legacy of winning a league championship for over two decades. But yet you bring up something that happened what 10 years ago? 15 years ago?? Because you want the attention and think that your point is relevant to what is going on this season.
