Basketball and Football are being played in many states, and basketball season will be underway in most states by Christmas, according to plan.
NY is slated for January, but possibly only private schools will play at first. Can public schools afford to play without fans? Also public schools are less likely to find a way around Cuomo's mandates.
CA is scheduled for March, we don't separate public and private, so one can't realistically operate without the other in the Southern Section.
But if any private schools want to get together and play in the meantime, there isn't much that can stop them.
