: I heard they had interviews last week..any word? I did hear a couple of good coaches did not get interviews...I wonder if the AD doesn't want competition (he's the boys coach)?

First off, the fact that they fired one of the best and most well respected coaches in the entire Valley for the past 20 years, tells you that they are not interested in hiring a good coach or even the most qualified coach. They are looking for a specific "TYPE" of person that they want for their girls' basketball coach, regardless of that coach's experience or resume. They are not going to hire any coach that anyone has heard of based off of a great track record or experience. They are going to go with someone who matches "WHAT" they want their head coach to be. Whatever that may be. IF they are well qualified, great. If not. So what. That is obvious as to why some good coaches may not have gotten interviews.
