And she's gone. Poor coaching, poor recruiting. Oh, no one talks about that? Maybe you need to be reminded how she said she doesn't want stars on her team. Maybe that's why Van Lith didn't even consider UW. Or Daniels. Or Jenkins. Or Van Oelhoffen. And it was a definite snub to the biggest star UW WBB ever had, Plum, who didn't play for her.

Interesting that her tweets received no support from her own team. When Strother called out Wynn, several other UW players including Plum and even Aari McDonald liked it. If there is trouble in the locker room, this didn't help things.

Several successful Pac coaches have emerged from mid level conferences. Graves most notably, but Rueck came from JC and Barnes didn't even have head coaching experience. Wynn is not even within screaming distance of any of these coaches because of recruiting. Barnes has made Arizona a true destination. UW and Seattle should not be relegated to cellar dwellers but their finishes in the conference will likely depend on how bad Colorado, Utah and WSU will be. Cal loaded up on recruiting with a new coach.

The Wynns were just not a good match. It happens.

: : : : She's been there three years:

: : : : 2019: 13-17
: : : : 2018: 11-21
: : : : 2017: 7-23

: : : : By your third year you should be seeing progress in the rebuild mode. Next year they should see results or they'll be on the hot seat. I do wish the best and hope they get competitive soon!

: They lost their main star Melgoza and have little coming back. In order to improve on a 13-17 record, they have to keep beating the WSU, Colorado and Utah. Look at what Barnes has done at Arizona in

: : : Her record is horrible and she's been having horrendous problems recruiting. 2020 had several Washington players who were Top 100 players, some even Top 25 and none of them even considered UW. That is very troubling. She can't get to the top with coaching alone and even that's suspect. She lost her stud, Melgoza but got Alexis Whitfield. That won't pull them from the bottom tier.

: : : UW made a mistake with her. She has two more years on her contract. She'll not be retained.

: : There was no mistake by UW. The Wynns oversaw a complete rebuild and their record has improved every year just like it did at LBSU. They will certainly need to keep improving over the next two years in order to ensure a contract renewal. And her comments weren't offensive, they just weren't on point. She owned it.
