: : : : : : : : : UCLA will not have any spectators for home games and that would include any rounds that the Bruins might host. Will the powers that be simply cancel state? I never thought it would be a possibility but it's looking more and more real. What say you?
: : : : : : : : 25 years from now we're all going to look back on this and laugh. Like Y2K. Or Billy Idol.
: : : : : : : Ironically, you'll be correct if the cancellations of large events and self-quarantines are effective. Conversely look at the paraded in Philadelphia in 1918. Nobody every looked back on that and laughed.
: : : : : : : I don't mind if people err on the side of caution.

: : : : : : USC and Stanford have joined the group so it's likely that if State goes on, it will be in front of empty stands. Right now, I think it will be cancelled.
: : : : : :It's not on the side of caution. It's on the side of paranoia.
: : : : This paranoia is actually the realization that our way of life will be radically changed in the new few months, if not more. If you honestly believe this is paranoia, please feel free to provide links to established authors and institutions as to why this is so. There's nothing I'd like better than to return to life as it was.

: Failure to see. Most people are not going to die from Coronavirus. All this effort is being done to stop the spread so it doesn't effect the most vulnerable. This isn't about the majority who are healthy, this is about the minority who are not. It is essentially like herd vaccination, if all the people around a person can't get sick, then the person who can is protected.
: I know many people often times have their older parents living with them and they would be at high risk if they were to get coronavirus (see the age of people who have died in China), so how do we protect our aged loved ones who might live with us? By not getting it ourselves. That mean's reducing situations that might allow for the spread of the virus.
Very true. We may not know how bad this virus will be overall, but we do already know how bad it is for the older population.
