: Where’s the guy who use to do the area top 10 lists last year since there’s minimal coverage in the newspapers. He was pretty accurate and I’d like to see how they have this year going so far.

I am just counting from the valley to CV area east and west, Santa Clarita to Sherman Oaks. Not Ventura County which has Camarillo who is really good.

1. Sierra Canyon- SO much talent but the biggest part missing is the knock down shooting from last year. Still the best team in the valley but MD or Poly can get them.

2- Harvard Westlake- This team is really good but not Open level. They are the second best team in the valley right now, but that may change when Chaminade gets Villalobos. The winner of this league could be OPEN.

3- Chaminade- Third best team in the valley. They will be another level when the transfer gets eligible.

4- Saugus- Yes I said it. I know they lost to Granada Hills but they are only getting better and have all the pieces to be a semi finals in 2AA. Great size, good guard play and nice shooting.

5- Granada Hills- Man this coach does a great job. He always loses a lot and by the time season starts they are seasoned. Like Saugus, I like the mix of size and shooting.

6- El Camino- Coach is doing a great job this year. He lost a lot in his two best players but they are playing more like a team. I think they beat Saugus in OT also but I think later in the year Saugus and GH will be the better team. My nominee as coach of the year in the valley

7- Valencia- Have some nice pieces. They seem to always beat Saugus once. The post is nice and Ballard is tough. Just no depth and no ability to handle major pressure. Nice team

8- Alemany- Big drop from 7 to 8. They are just okay. No threat to Chaminade, HW or Marlborough in league

9- TIE Burroughs and Glendale- Both are Decent with Nice size. Both are well coached.

10- CV- Right behind their league opponents. Always up there

11- Birmingham- They have really good guard play. Will make the City Open

Please let me know if I am missing anyone. I did this off the top of my head. I def could have left teams out.
