: : Division 4AA is another mixed bag of teams. A handful had some playoff success including a CIF Champion moving up from Division 5A. Will some teams success in a lower division translate in a higher division against better competition? Division 4AA is where to start to see teams that are potential league champions or teams that finish in the top half of their leagues. There are a few potential surprises in this division as well. Schools that have been building and getting better and other schools that have a new coach and expectations are high. Only time will tell on which teams will be the top ones.

: : Here are my rankings:

: : 1. Buena Park
: : 2. Garey
: : 3. Marymount
: : 4. Paloma Valley
: : 5. Barstow
: : 6. Bassett
: : 7. Bloomington Christian
: : 8. Orange Vista
: : 9. Westminster La Quinta
: : 10. Flintridge Sacred Heart
: : 11. Calabasas
: : 12. Xavier Prep
: : 13. Garden Grove Santiago
: : 14. La Salle
: : 15. Workman
: : 16. Whitney
: : 17. Montclair
: : 18. Big Bear
: : 19. Arroyo
: : 20. Santa Ana
: : 21. Newport Harbor
: : 22. Antelope Valley
: : 23. St. Puis/Matthias
: : 24. Ontario Christian
: : 25. Rancho Mirage
: : 26. Holy Martyrs
: : 27. Palm Desert
: : 28. Highland
: : 29. Inglewood
: : 30. Riverside Notre Dame
: : 31. Pasadena Poly
: : 32. Coachella Valley
: : 33. Charter Oak
: : 34. Rancho Alamitos
: : 35. Diamond Bar
: : 36. Norwalk
: : 37. Santa Clara
: : 38. Heritage
: : 39. Ocean View
: : 40. Muir

: This list is inaccurate. Left out some key teams and have some teams way too high. No way Buena Park is #1. They lost to Santa Ana who you have at 20.

: I'm also trying to figure out how teams like Barstow who lose by 20 to Rosemead are #5 on your list while teams like Ramona who beat Rosemead are not. [Ramona went to the state championship]

: Then we have #9 Westminster La Quinta who lost by 30+ to #13 Santiago Garden Grove when both teams lost just a couple of players.

: Then Calabasas at 11 coming off a .500 season in which they did not make the playoffs yet they are ranked higher than several teams who made the playoffs: Big Bear, X Prep, Montclair, etc. Don't get me wrong Calabasas plays a tough schedule but still come on.

: My top 15

: 1. Bloomington Christian
: 2. La Salle
: 3. Garey
: 4. Xavier Prep
: 5. Paloma Valley
: 6. Marymount
: 7. Orange Vista
: 8. Flintridge Sacred Heart
: 9. Ramona
: 10. Pasadena Poly
: 11. Barstow
: 12. Moreno Valley
: 13. Santa Ana
: 14. Montclair
: 15. Santiago GG

: No harm to your list but lets call it as it is.

So Ramona is in semis and go to state championships and STAYS in division 4AA while teams who don't get that far continue to go up a division every year. Pretty soon open division haha.
