: : : : Now that LAUSD has started and all of the transfers are official here is my Top 7 city ranking. Feel free to make changes.
: : : : 1) fairfax
: : : : 2) Granada hills
: : : : 3) Carson
: : : : 4) el Camino
: : : : 5) westchester
: : : : 6) narbonne
: : : : 7) legacy
: : : :
: : : : Looks like fairfax, Granada and Carson will fight it out in the open division. Too bad Pali had so many transfers the last 4 years or they would have run away with it. I'm taking Granda hills to win it all!
: : :
: : : I still think this is too early - have to see how some of these teams play with their new players and coaches. Chemistry may be the key to actually coming away with the trophy come March.
: : : After the first couple of tourneys, I will post back with updated list and breakdowns.
: : : 1. Granada Hills
: : : 2. El Camino Real
: : : 3. Carson
: : : 4. Fairfax
: : : 5. Narbonne
: : : 6. Legacy
: : : 7. Westchester
: : : 8. Birmingham
: : SMH!!!!
: How does Fairfax look? Who is the Coach ? they lost some key pieces to the team. Did anyone Transfer to fairfax?
: Same questions for El camino?
: Don't both these teams have new coaches?
: How are the girls at Westchester adjusting to the new coach ?
: There might be a lot of talent on those team but if the coach don't know how to use the talent these teams will go only so far.
Exactly my point of why it is too early to make a serious list.
And no one knows how these teams are looking because no one has played together yet as most the better girls were with their club teams all summer.
Major coaching changes: Palisades, Fairfax, El Camino, Westchester
Major roster changes: Carson got a bunch, Palisades lost a bunch.
That's why I said chemistry issues could end up determining who wins in March.
The fun part is that there is no clear-cut favorite like the last four years.
