: : : : : : The campus is much nicer than USC's and although
: : : : : : it's 80 miles inland - it has a port! that commercial/recreational ship, boats come into from the pacific ocean and leave to the pacific ocean - there is a waterway from the ocean to the city and vice versa.

: : : : : :: Nobody wants to talk about the issues that are being exposed - which you all know about in women's basketball, but don't talk about at all costs. Student athletes are starting to look at more than just the prestige, size, $$$ and what conference the school is in. There's an under-lying morality base that some students think are important as well. Values matter.

: : : : There are definite issues to be discussed but it had nothing to do with Valerie Higgins leaving USC.

: : : Stockton is a gang infested hell hole full of beat boarded up homes and old ones. No nice part of town.

: : recently visited campus-campus itself and area around it nice, 1 mile away not so much. UOP has it's own sworn police force (not rent-a cops)-just like USC.

: That's cause there so much crime in Stockton

UOP is a good school for certain things like dentistry and pharmacology. Even with the latter, USC is still superior. As for the area, there are places near USC where you still might feel apprehensive walking through during the night. In Stockton, you're fearful walking through during the day. In the immediate area, it's nice but venture anywhere out and you're on your own. Even residents would admit that.

Who knows why Valerie Higgins chose Pacific, but at USC, she fell behind on the bench with the return of Jordan Adams and the arrival of Moore next season. USC didn't recruit Aari McDonald from Washington even though she really wanted to come because there was no room at her position.
