: : : I thought Komaki was suppose to be a fantastic coach....why does she rely on transfers to fill her roster? She can't develop talent only coach it? What transfers are there and where did they come from?

: :
: : : Pretty sad that sh: : : : : : : : : Looked at all the teams in this tournament why so few teams in top division? What a joke !

: : : : : : : : : : : Maybe if teams weren't sandbagging. Sierra Canyon in 2A. Thats laughable. Why aren't they in the top?

: : : : : : : : : : My guess is their top players are doing club stuff or getting ready for Oregon/Vegas/Nike/etc.

: : : : : : : : : : What's more important - getting scholarships or a weak high school tourney no coaches will be at???

: : : : : : : : : Sorry but Sierra canyon is a complete joke has talent top to bottom on team and playing down because they don't want to hurt their egos so what if your missing players what happened to playing the best to get better what a joke of a program

: : : : : : : : : : And that is probably true of most teams.

: : : : : : : : : : All summer I have seen most teams missing their top players at least some if not all of the time...

: : : : : : : : 2 of Sierra's best players graduated last year, they have quite a few freshmen. I am sure they are just testing the waters. It is summer, not a big deal.

: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : your right testing the waters coach is ridiculous final score 83-11 that's TESTING the WATERS ??????????????

: : : : : : why would you run up the score in div 2 on teams ? what ego does she have to satisfy? I mean this is summer right ? 83-11 seems reasonable :)

: : : : : They haven't played a D2 team yet... Rancho Bernardo was D4 in state last year (I think) and West Ranch was 3A in southern section and didn't make playoffs.... Glendora is first decent team they will play and Glendora was 3AA so not sure what SC is doing this weekend

: : : : Sierra canyon will be a tier or two below windward again this season. Windward is going to be loaded.
: : You guys don't know shit! It's freakin summer! Do you get it! Summer! Summer! Aswhipes, fudge, your all a joke and have no clue. Get a grip! It's summer!!!!!!

: yes, but they did bring in transfers

Schools like Sierra Canyon will always have transfers, especially on the girls side.

There are like 90 frosh that go there every year. With girls hoops participation way down in genral, and $30K tuition (no "aid" for regular kids unless actually needed), it is entirely feasible they get no girls hoops players in a frosh class. There are only like 9 girls in the program. So of course girls will transfer in. And guess what? They will always be good girls because why else would they go there?

I get the transfer frustration, but it is what it is. The school, and others like it, is just too small and sports centered for it to be any other way.
