: : : : :How many summer and fall tournaments your HS do before November? What's the norm?

: : : Most HS teams at the very least play in a summer league (8-10 games). Many teams also play in a tournament or two (4-8 games). Then maybe about 60% of teams may participate in a fall league (5-8 games).

: : : By November most teams have played anywhere from 10-25 games.

: : From jume till beginning of Aug we play about 20-28 games during he summer. During the fall we condition and prepare for up coming season we might play 5-10games. Before season comes

: My daughter's school do none of these that's why we are going to suck come November. All talk from the coach no actions. She's too busy running her travel ball rather than taking care of her team. Sometimes it seems like she's only coaching to get free gym access. This blows.

:Not taking advantage of summer and fall balls usually results in a disastrous season. But then again, your coach can set the team up in softer pre-league games. These are the teams that cherry pick their Nov and Dec games. And on top of that, if you belong in weaker leagues then that will set your team to a 20+ winning season.

But you won't be fooling anyone, your "strength in schedule" rating will tell it all. It will show that you guys been playing Park n Rec type of teams and been ducking real competition. Coach might fool school heads and get a thumbs up but players suffer, no player development whatsoever. Don't be a fool!
