: : : : The returning class of juniors and seniors leaves a lot to be desired.

: : : How dare you bash the whole Mater Dei team. That's a inappropriate blanket statement. Coach Neil and his other four screennames are you going to bash you for bashing kids. Shame on you!! Just SHAME!!!!

: :
: : First of all, why would you bash someone who, unlike all of us, uses his real name? Give the guy some credit for posting his beliefs and standing behind him.

: : Quick look at Mater Dei returners:

: : Torbert - shes's a beast. Plain and simple. Hopefully she comes back from her leg injury and is 100%.

: : Johnson - always has been sort of a one-trick to hoop. Has been hurt off and on all three years. Still better than most, but not up to classic Mater Dei standards.

: : Rahon - when she is on, she is an ELITE shooter. She is like the flashing star on the video game when she is hot. But when she isn't, she can be exposed. Not really fast, not a great defender, not a great rebounder. But I will take her any day for when the hot streak comes.

: : Freeman - committed to CSUN. She is a solid player, but never thought of her as a point guard. Again, better than most, but not the "MD standard".

: : Rogers - nice 6-1 player that is good to bring off bench.

: : As for the sophomores, don't really know them.

: :
: : In the end, Mater Dei is a victim of their own success. If they don't win Open, they suck. They don't have POY, they suck.

: : Really?

: : Bottom line is they have a roster that 95% of high school coaches would gladly switch with. Including probably yours.

: : Barring transfers that may or may not come, Mater Dei will be either good or really good. But short of 35-0, they can't please you people.

: POS, you really think because other people agreed with me and disagreed with you, it is me posting four different times using different names? Man you one interesting person.

: As for Mater Dei, I literally don't know a single player on the team. I haven't done high end NCAA club stuff in a few years and I coach at Moorpark HS. Haven't seen MD, their players, incoming freshmen, etc, in awhile.

: What I do know is that you were bashing on this kid and I called you out on it. Then you used an example of saying Melo Ball was overrated and how that isn't bashing, which I agree. But calling a kid not very good or not special STRICTLY because she is a holdback is 100% wrong. We don't know why she was held back and even if it was for sports, it doesn't make her more or less special.

: Your argument was that she will always be compared to players a grade ahead of her because that is the grade she was supposed to be in, which is wrong. So when she is a Senior, we are supposed to compare her to College Freshmen? Nope. If she starts college ball and is twenty years old, she is still a college freshmen. It doesn't matter.

: LeBron James and I both graduated the same year and he is a full 15 months older than me. I'm assuming he was held back at some point. So according to your logic, he clearly wasn't special or very good in high school.

: Like I said, this is the only name I have posted under. Feel free to reach me at (818) 288-0070 or I don't need to hide behind anonymous names like other people with strong opinions.

Stop with Mater dei, their girls are very average. Windward will destroy them this upcoming year. All of them are all over hyped, way over hyped
