: : : If the club my daughter plays for holds a tournament, should we be expected to pay a team entry fee? Parking? Door entry fees? Donate refreshments for purchase? Also, if this is a Viewing Tourney the college coaches will be paying $400+ for the "book." Thoughts?
: : Team entry fee, NO. Everything else yes.
: I've seen it done several different ways.
: Team entry fees: Never seen that
: Parking: Depends on who controls the parking
: Door: Usually not, but it can depend on who is manning the tournament. If parents are required to man the snack bar, door, check in table, score books, score clocks or required to donate refreshments then you don't charge them entry. If the club organization has coaches and admin staff doing it, then yes everyone pays
:It sounds wrong but yes. You are expected to donate concession items that money goes to club directors. Volunteer to work on the events so less money comes off directors profits. Pay parking and entree fees to maximize directors profits. And you are expected to comply with a smile on your face otherwise your daughter will get less playing time. You don't like it? Don't hit your head on the door on your way out.
