: : : : Is it true that two of the three July tournaments being put on by Cal Storm are not NCAA Certified?
: : : : Seriously?
: : : : What is going on with them these days?
: : : : When you go to register it says "D2, NAIA, and D3" coaches will be in attendance. And that the games will be live streamed.
: : : : Wow.
: : : : Glad my kid's team is going elsewhere when those first two are being held.
: : : Yeah and he won't even give us our money back either. He told us it was pending NCAA certification and it was denied and we can only have credit towards a future storm event. George is slowly but surely phasing out.
: : So you advertise a Certified event, tell customers who paid it's "pending" but then when it isn't you won't give back the money?
: : Who would want credit to any of their future events?
: : There are plenty of others to go to - no need to waste time/money in Storm ones.
: : If you are a club director, who is charging kids/parents with the lure of playing in NCAA Certified Viewing events, what do you tell them? What if they decide to not pay their club fees now since they are not getting what they paid for?
: : Besides the obvious moral obligation Storm has here, does anyone know if they have any legal obligations?
: : You couldn't get me to play in one of their tourneys for free now.
: : SMH
: ::Is this the End of Summer tournament, Grand Finale? If this is not certified, is the EOT tournament certified on the same dates?
The Grand Finale is Certified.
However, who will be there? If you get burned on the other two tourneys, wouldn't you go elsewhere for the last one?
And just remember, if you aren't in the same pool as Taurasi, you will probably be stuck off in some corner playing in front of your team parents while all the coaches hang out at Taurasi's court.
