: : : : MD getting hi-pro transfers.

: : : What are "hi-pro" transfers?

: : : And who are they?

: : Until the city section gets competent coaches the trend of kids transferring out will continue. These girls work hard to maximize their skill set and are then are being coached by adults that don't know what they are doing. The transfer rule is great, be on top of your game as a coach or risk losing kids transferring. I watched the city playoffs last year and the coaching was just horrible.

: city section schools are going to get worst now, like the last comment said city school will be horrible next year now that is easier for decent player to transfer to a private school. so city coaches have to step it up and city schools have to raise coaches pay also$$$$

Some comments:

Coaching at most high schools is just average. Only difference is there are no great City coaches like a Herlihy or Camacho or Buggs.

A lot of parents are picking these private schools because of a perceived better education. That's not always true, there are good public/city schools, but I would say most times the environment is better at privates.

The key is for City schools (and public schools in general) to improve their education/environment reputation so that parents actually sit down and say "private may be better, but is it $20K per year better? $10K per year?"
