: : Coaches if you are not allowing your athletes to rest and are playing a whole lot of games during the dead period, you are risking injuries to your athletes. If you are playing 25-30 games prior to the viewing tournaments its just to stroke your ego and is a selfish act. Playing multiple games every weekend in May and June is hard on athletes that are giving it there all. Just as a favor spend May and June developing your athletes skills. Work on their off hand and for goodness sake their jumpers. At some point it will pay off.
: : Some programs tend to overlook strength training which is Vital in the off season. I have seen clips of the Cal Storm doing beach workouts and some conditioning. How many other programs are spending time doing that? I think it will solve some of these ACL and MCL injuries that we are plagued with right now in the sport of Basketball.
: : I'm very open to a discussion about this topic. but I will not respond to foolishness. Thanks

: There is no point for tons of games in June. This is especially true of the upper tier of kids - who not only basically play year around with HS and Club teams - but also do extra individual training multiple times a week also.

: Last week was WCP and this week is Cal Sparks - both high level quality tournaments. But that should be it.

: June should be for some high school stuff, visiting colleges, skill work, team camps, strength and conditioning. Oh, and more skill work. More skills, less games. And lastly, let the kids be kids a little bit. Because that time is quickly coming to an end.

Absolutely, it will be wise of them to take the athletes on Campus visits when they travel as well. Also most College teams are having camps in June have your players attend the camps especially if its a College they are interested in.
