: : On behalf of Coach Jeff Sink:
: : Ladycat Classic Tournament – November 27th – December 2nd, 2017
: : Brea Olinda will be once again hosting the prestigious Ladycat Classic Tournament in late November and early December.
: : Benefits of our tournament:
: : - Four game guarantee
: : - Excellent facility
: : - Three referees in the semi and final games
: : - College coaches in attendance
: : - Hospitality room for coaches
: : - 10 player all tournament team and MVP and Defensive Player Award
: : - Tee shirts
: : - Coaches awards
: : - Great field
: : Our philosophy for this tournament is to create a bracket that will allow most teams to play two reasonable games (potential wins) and two tough games (to challenge your team and allow for the effective early season evaluation of your talent).
: : I know, as Head Coach of Brea, that in an early season tournament like ours, every coach would like to go 2-2 with two wins and two very challenging games. Now that postseason play is mostly controlled by CIF and their convoluted formulas, winning every game has become less important in the early season. Playing a challenging schedule has become the most critical factor in development of a team that will compete well when league and CIF playoffs begin. So we really try to create a field that will allow every team to experience the “2 wins and 2 losses” experience.
: : ONCE the field is complete I am going to gather input from every coach on the seeding for our tournament. I will send each entered school a list of the teams in the tournament and all of you will get the chance to seed the tournament, as you believe it should be seeded. Then I will amass all the various scenarios and complete the final seeding based upon your input.
: : If you are planning on playing in our tournament please IMMEDIATELY shoot me an email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
: : Please feel free to email me with questions.
: : Regards,

: Just curious who is the coach at brea now. Heard at the end of the year Brea parents talking in the stands that sink is retiring from teaching and coaching.
Jeff Sink is still coaching.
