: : : I have been the big mouth touting Katie Lou's greatness for a couple of years. I still think she's great, she can shoot the lights out, and she's also a great kid. But now I see the light. She really is a blatant flopper and cracks under pressure-not traits associated with tremendous greatness. She lost me last night as a huge fan. That flop should have changed the outcome of the game...and that's not how to win a championship. Just like Mater Dei, she was unable to step up when it really really mattered. Now, please don't get me wrong, this player is overwhelmingly talented, a phenomenal shooter, continues to improve her game, but, the flopping, in my opinion, is cheating and negates all the good. Last night was good for women's basketball, great job Mississippi State, you took down Goliath.
: : I especially loved how she was grazed on the chin but fell to the floor clutching her throat. She got the two free throws but won't get any awards for her acting. Not a good night for Mr. Samuelson.
: First, yes she indeed won an award for acting--those free throws and the ball.
: Secondly, the UConn players are all very good. You don't win the way they did this year without being very good players on a great team. They got beat, finally. Like Aurieemma said, it was going to happen sooner or later.
: Samuelson is a great player. Anyone who says otherwise is just being idiotic. Yeah, she's a bit floppy. Always has been. It's kind of irritating, but that doesn't change the fact that she's an extremely dangerous player--usually the most dangerous one on the floor.

Weren't you also the one who kept insisting how much money the WNBA makes?
Samuelson got the free throws but lost the public opinion polls. Twitter had a laughing fit over her theatrics, primarily because she pulled it three or four times in the game. Either she's soft, spoiled or lazy on defense. To repeat a flop that many times means she's not acting, she's overacting. Since she's getting a reputation, not only will she stop getting the calls from the refs, she's going to be the object of some genuine contact that won't be so pleasant.
