: : : : : : : I just saw the All-CIF list for division 2AA. I was shocked to see that our PG didn't make the First-Team. There is a young lady from 29 Palms (Great Player)who made the first team, but in a head to head game Walnut beat 29 Palms 79-33 and the Walnut PG was the dominate player in the game. JSerra gets 2 players on the first team? What a crime! I understand that the JSerra Coach is the division coordinator. That totally explains everything. This is why the Divisions need to have meetings to decide who belongs where. Using email to decide All-CIF is a total joke!

: : : : : : : These recognitions sometimes end up being a joke. Real ballers know their worth and don't need some trophy to certify their game. I've seen great players get snubbed for year for CIF And league. Do t sweat the small stuff, in the end its means nothing

: : : : : All CIF is a joke just like the Playoff Divisions 3,4,5,6 are. The only deserving teams and players are in the Open or 1AA.

: : : : )-:. Sorry your daughter is not on the list

: : : My daughter plays big girl basketball got a Scholarship at a D1 School. Playing small division ball wouldn't have helped her develop and accomplish all that she needed to have. We don't care about having a lower division CIF certificate. We were one of the top teams in the State. Not #200+ like those in the lower divisions.

: : : There are a lot of kids left off first team in all divisions for all kinds of reasons. I was shocked to see some of the kids left off all CIF and even all league teams. Some kids on those list aren't deserving but who knows what their coaches motivations and intentions are

: You people are clueless as to how the process works. First, to vote you must be a SCOBCA member. So if your coach wasn't a scibca member thats your first problem. Second, if he isn't a member a coach can fill out a nomination form and mail them in. Very few coaches did this. Next, the coaches who can vote take the nomination forms and make a list of players. Since most coaches don't bother being a scibca member or sending in nominations its mostly done by coaches who are SCIBCA members. Once the list is finalized, there is a meeting. At least half the members don't bother showng up to that either. Most divisions its like 3-4 coaches. What you will typically find is the SCIBCA members players AND the teams that get to the SEMIS dominate an ALL CIF list. Next year have your coach get more involved. Period. If your upset your daughter wasn't on the list ask your coach if he was a member and ask if he filled out a form. PERIOD

Well, the top teams in SS division 3 and 4 are both ranked in the top 45 in state. Los Osos lost to Etiwanda by 24 but hung close for much. Etiwanda beat Troy on the road by 13. Not a huge difference.

Village had multiple wins over division 1 teams including a 1AA semifinalist. Until big girl got hurt, they were on open division watch list. Unfortunately, good small schools are not deep.

To say something crazy like other playoff divisions are a joke is like saying D2 or D3 college basketball is a joke. Different levels exist for a reason.
