: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Heard the parents started a campaign to oust coach and replace him with their daughters club coach. I believe the club is black water. Whatever the case the admin showed no respect for a coach who won league last year

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Yes They Did

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Parents win again...always an issue when you lose games

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : What is that the second school now that fires the great Kevin Cormier. LOL...

: : : : : : : : : : : : : Cormier is horrible coach. Can win at lowest cif levels with good athletes but does not make players better.

: : : : : : : : : : : : Y'all are some jokes on here, talking crap about a man over the internet when, I guarantee you wouldn't say anything to his face. In other words, saying he doesn't develop player is not true at all. Anywhere he has gone, success arrived as well. Last season was an outlier to what he brings to the table. Like to see some of you internet tough guys/gals actually do something in the basketball community rather than running your mouths.

: : : : : : : : : : : Dude cannot keep a job. Figure it out yourself.

: : : : : : : : : : The administrators couldn't see the forrest through the trees. The new coach will come in and have improvement on the backs of this years staff. After winning two straight league titles this years was not that good. They started two sophomores pretty much the entire year. They only had 1 senior who had any talent and she was inconsistent and they had the 1 junior kid who was injured all season. The team was inconsistent during the pre-season but they were competitive during league and actually would have made the playoffs with a few breaks. It wasn't the coach who missed the free throws to clinch the games against Diamond Bar twice. No one said anything when their best two players didn't show up against Ayala and Bonita but games that South Hills should have won.

: : : : : : : : : : These parent know nothing about basketball and they will all get what they deserve.

: : : : : : : : : : How does this proven coach get fired? He's a solid basketball mind and has been successful for many years. He gets fired yet you have clowns like Stan over at Chino Hills who's a terrible coach continue to survive in his position even though the program is in a complete nose dive. It just don't make no no sense..

: : : : : : : : He was fired from Mater Dei. He was fired by LaSalle. Now he is fired from South Hills. You are doing something wrong when you get fired from three different schools after only two or three years. There is something wrong...simply are doing something wrong. End of story.

: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : He was at Mater Dei but wasnt the head Coach, Ryan Weisenburg was.. He was unrightfully fired from La Salle.. A parent with money(not mentioning name), donated a good sum and made up fraudulent charges against him and the administration acted upon it, while said family was on its way out the door. The did this out of spite because they felt coach kevin was destroying her chance of being a D1 athlete. Ended up transferring to Brea and didnt get a D1 scholarship, let alone ANY... sooo.. and now South Hills, if the information above is true, they lost a huge asset in the SGV and wherever he goes, he has won. So next school to get him, best of luck and congrats on the land..

: : : : : : : Coach Cormier, please take over the Chino Hills program, please!

: : : : : :: hopefully the new coach does not bring back his jv coach

: : : : What is so bad about the JV coach? Program is lucky to have someone with head varsity experience, coaching JV..

: : : It has been discussed many times on this board, the guy can coach. Any of you who do not think so work the hours his staff did for the stipend coaches get and then do a better job. SMH

: : Parents had nothing to do with firing of coach. They didn't even know about it. Questions though .. how effective can a basketball program be run with 19 girls on the team, were any fundamentals taught to develop the players, what about a coach who doesn't show up for practices, doesn't allow his team to scrimmage, gives up on games with plenty of time left, no spring or summer league? If the stipend isn't enough, don't take the job.

: : Wait, outside of the really watered down spring and summer league you are describing the Chino Hills coach.

It seems to me that actual kids did get better. It never astounds me how people think players only develop at practice. Fundamentals have to be worked on a daily basis BY THE PLAYER. Coaches miss practice uh to scout future opponents for future games or league opponents. "Give Up" saw you guys play either it was a losing BLOW OUT where you do not get starters injured and you let Unexperienced kids get Experience. Spring League are usually ok for kids or smart coaches have their kids do spring sports: swimming, track and field, or softball. Keep The Stipend....
