: : : : : : : : : : Who are the best players to watch this week in the championship games?

: : : : : : : : : Clark and Jones from LBP, one of the Harvard Westlake twins (never remember which is which), Konrad from Valencia, Gipson and Williams from Palisades.

: : : : : : : : >>>>>Gipson and Williams from Palisades / Clark and Jones from LBP by far. These girls can out play the rest of the girls mentioned.

: : : : : : : :Got to give props to Marlborough's starting FRESHMAN trio in De Jesus, Montgomery and Yoshitake.

: : : : : : : Addition of these 3 girls brought last year's 2-20 Mustangs to 20-7 record and a trip to CIF Div 2A finals. Taking down #1 seed Righetti at their home last Saturday. These girls are amazing, my daughter plays club with them.

: : : : : : DeJesus is super solid. Yoshitake is meh. Ok shooter not very quick.

: : : : :
: : : : : You obviously haven't been following Marlborough this season, Yoshitake has been carry this team the last half of the season. She hits one big shot after another and consistenly gets into double figures EVERY game. btw, yoshitake is the fastest on the team.

: : : : Sorry dad we didn't mention your daughter. Just like this whole thread was started by a Marlborough parent. Good job. You got your kid and her team some interest. But what has Marlborough done this season? Marlborough is no longer in the Mission League so that means they played a bunch of weak teams. Any freshman would look good against the competition Marlborough played. So slow down with thinking that these kids are actually going to make an impact. Everyone was hyping the freshman at Los Alamitos and she is overrated too. How about this dad, lets wait on hyping your kid and her team until they are juniors and actually play in a real division and not some JV rec ball division that CIF put together so you can tell your daughter how special she is.

: : : :Why so bitter? Let me guess, your daughter did make the cut due to academic requirements. You can always try again next year, lol

: : : On a serious note. Just go to MaxPreps to see their schedule. They have one of the highest Strength in Schedule in their division so I don't know where you are getting your info from.

: : I wouldn't schedule Marlborough next year, they will be one of the best teams in LA, period. If you follow girls basketball it should be obvious. Young team with 3 freshman/injuries coming back. They will be a hard out for ANY team.

: : They have a good base with those frosh but they still lack size. They can't roll with the likes of Etiwanda, Alemany and Windward. I see them playing in 1A the most for next season. Anything above that they will get creamed.

If Yoshitake is the fastest on the team then your team is slow. I've seen Storm play plenty. She is a decent player but let's not get crazy now, ok?

Parents on here are crazy. Like the prior poster said, it's like when people were hyping the other storm guard at Los Alamitos and her 5ft fellow freshman. Then they got bounced by Valencia by 20.
