: : : How is TO playing for a CIF title??? (17-14), (5-5) - God awful!
: : : Losses to Glendale / Burbank / Heart / CV / Newbury Park - This has to be the weakest division of them all!!!!!
: : When 2 teams can't even win their own league, but can win a CIF title? Nice job CIF!
: Many many teams have won CIF not winning their league. Just check out the Trinity league or Gold Coast League. Trinity has 9 CIF titles between Rosary, Santa Margarita, O lU and J Serra that have zero league titles. Sierra Canyon has never won their league and won State titles. Campbell Hall and Brentwood have CIF championships with no league titles. Lets not forget countless other schools. As a matter of fact lets go down the list
: Open has Poly and HW- HW didnt win league
: 1AA- Canyon and Valencia- One didnt win league
: 1A- Bishop Montgomery (Never won league but won CIF titles) vs Huntington Beach
: 2AA- Camarillo vs Rosary (Didnt win league)
: 2A- Marlborough vs Leuzinger (4th in league)
: 3AA- Glendora (2nd) vs T0 (3rd)
: 3A- Los Osos (2nd in league) vs Lancaster (2nd in league)
: 4AA- Knight (3rd in league) vs Beverly Hills (4th in League)
: 4A- Village vs Valley Christian (2nd in league)
: 5AA- Heritage Christian (4th in league) vs Crean Lutheran (3rd in league)
: 5A- Bell Jeff vs Chadwick (Only division both were first)
This is a great observation. Most of the teams that are also being pulled from these divisions are in the open now. Which to be honest, I think was one of the best decisions that CIF could have made. It gives everyone else a chance to compete while boosting the morale and camaraderie of different schools, who to be honest might not be good at any sport. Congrats to all the teams in the finals!
