: I've got Pali by 20-25 over el co and fax over Granda in a close one. El co has a bunch of average players while Pali has two superstars, always go with the superstars. Pali also has some nice bench players that know their rolls. Granada coach will keep Fairfax game close, Alwsys does well with the least amount of talent. Pali/fax in the finals!
Always disrespecting the Valley talent. I have seen all four of these teams play multiple times and they are all very good teams. And both El Camino and Granada Hills have players that would start at either Fairfax and Palisades.
Palisades vs. El Camino - Palisades does have the two best players in the is game. But El Camino has 3, 4, and 5. Both teams love to press, but both teams are also very good at beating the press. So in the end, I don't think either team will actually end up pressing that much. So in the half court game, it's really down to how much ECR can contain Gipson and Williams. If they combine for 35-40, ECR has a chance. If they go for 45-50 it could be ugly. On the other side, ECR needs to make shots and exploit their rebounding edge. They also need to be patient and try to keep the score down - the lower the better. I see this either a close game or a blowout, not one of those 12-16 not over/not in danger type of games. Pick: Palisades
Fairfax vs Granada - interesting game. The discipline of Granada vs. not very structured Fairfax. Fairfax is tougher, and Granada cannot get intimidated or they will be run off the court. The lower the score the better for Granada too, and their style of play is very much set up to run clock and get good shots. They just need to make them. If you leave Fairfax open, they will drain shots, but they are shaky if they are contested. Pick: Fairfax in a close game
And while I am picking Palisades vs. Fairfax, the difference between all the teams is not so great that either of the favorites getting beat will not be "shocking".
Hopefully, they are both good, entertaining games.
Good luck to all the teams!
