: : : : AV wins 22nd in a row
: : : : AV, u really gotta stop pumping yourselves up! Since you'll already on here, go ahead and tell us who you beat? Let me guess, Palmdale Junior High?
: : :22 in a row!!! When was the last time that happened to a 1A, 1AA or Open the? Crickets..lol
: Etiwanda is 22-1. They have won 20 in a row. Among those 20 are Troy, Pali, LaJolla Country Day, Mater Dei, Camarillo, Serra, Bishop Montgomery.
: Let's check out the mighty Lopes schedule. I'll give you Canyon as a good win. Then we have Desert (on an air force base), a couple of Knights, Little Rocks, Eastside etc. Zzzzzzzz
: It's almost like you AV folk just want to be put in your place.
: All I know is you better win state for as good a game as you talk.
I am not quite sure what the motivation for any of the posters is when it comes to the Lady Lopes. I can assure you that the posters are not the coaches of AV. It is, in fact, infuriating to the program. The hate and negativity directed at them is sad.
It is in all likelihood a parent (rather current or past), but it could also be someone throwing this crap up so that the haters will continue to smash on AV.
I have no idea where AV will end up -- I would guess a top 4 seed in 1A. We will find out this afternoon.
Perhaps those of you who are so quick to jump on the AV posts can just ignore them and they will go away. It would be nice if we could just discuss basketball.
AV's schedule is not as strong as the other Open teams, but I am sure most schools would happily take a 52-4 record in their last 56, a trip to the state championship (regardless of level), CIF Championship (regardless of level), and a top 25 ranking this year.
Good luck and congrats to the 16 teams who make the Open this afternoon and to the 4 who don't. All of these teams are in rare air... Each of these schools would roll the majority of teams not only in Socal, but in the country.
