: Who is the Girls Varsity Girls Basketball coach at Calabasas High School? I hear great things about all of there sports. Is the girls team any good. I live in Lancaster but will be moving to West Valley area in the summer all I hear about is Calabasas is a great school Please help. Thanks.

Calabasas is not a strong program. They are 3-20 and just not a lot of talent. As a school, it gets good ratings, but we have some friends there and they don't like the entitlement atmosphere there (school not team).

Top public school basketball program in West Valley is El Camino Real in Woodland Hills. Team is one of top in SFV/VC/SCV area and school is highly rated. There are a lot of kids there though (like 3800-ish). Have friends there too and outside of size they are pretty happy.

If you want private, Chaminade in West Hills is still strong as a basketball school despite what people think. School is good. High teens $$ wise, which is average for most privates.

Louisville is also in high teens $$ wise, but sports are not really emphasized there. Basketball team was down this year, but mid-season got a big senior girl from volleyball team to play and they have really improved in their division.

Viewpoint is improving basketball wise but it's 30K+. It's very hard academically. The school is small student wise, which while good for school, is not always good for social part and friends.

If you go farther West, Agoura has a solid program almost every year. School is rated well. Like the coach.

You will get a lot of garbage on this board, but some of us will actually try to help you!

Good luck!
