: : I played for both Coach Mark Trakh and Coach Sink. Coach Trakh developed us from the Junior High level, teaching us the fundamentals and team play. He valued the Junior High class and the Polcat program. We were the communities team. When Coach Sink took over, the cupboard was full with good players. Coach Sink ignored the Junior High class and Polcats and changed the program to a program that recruits outside Brea from the club teams, which brought in good players but didn't develop team play . Coach Sink is not a developer of players, he's a recruiter. Coach Trakh built the house, Coach Sink is renting for free.

: So what? It's high school girls! No one really cares that much about it! Look at the sorry attendance at the games! Lots of money spent and for what especially on the lower levels! How many become a good enough Varsity player to get a Scholarship about 0000.00001%? Lets face it HS Sports is about giving students an extra curricular activity to burn off some energy, get physically fit, get to use their brain in a real world situation, etc.

Seriously? Bitter much?

And just as many girls get scholarships as boys, regardless of attendance.

But that isn't the point.

High School sports is to teach teamwork, inter-personal skills, discipline, hard work, striving individually and collectively to reach a goal, communication skills - the list goes on.

For a small percentage (roughly 4%) of high school athletes, they are able to receive some kind of scholarship to continue playing in college and reduce their college debt.

And plenty of people do care - apparently just not you.
