: : Price? Maybe you can answer why u schedule weak setting up girls for failure.
: Well, we have a 14-game league schedule, which makes scheduling non-league games and tournaments a challenge. And, the fact that our league isn't very strong isn't something we have any control over.
: We have to host a tournament every year because we don't have the financial support that LA/OC or private schools may get. We invite anybody and everybody to said tournament and get denied because teams don't want to travel.
: We played in the Palisades tournament last year, but was unable to commit to it this year because of issues with traveling during Thanksgiving week this year.
: The tournament we played outside of the AV wasn't as tough as we would have liked, but it suited our schedule the best. And, we did lose a game without our 4-year starting center. Granada Hills was well coached and they flat out beat us. No excuses.
: We played one showcase game against Canyon and have another one scheduled this week against Horizon Christian at Alemany.
: We certainly don't try and set our team up for failure with the schedule we are forced to make because of the reasons I said above. And, if failing is winning a CIF title and advancing to the State Championship game in the division we are put in, we hope to fail again soon.
Should have your league so you can challenge better comp.
sounds more excuses from Lopes camp
Speaking of Lopes camp. Isn't it true you n your "coach" recruit the best talent from all teams in league. No wonder the league is weak you'd think cif would investigate this situation.
School AD and principal should be assumed to be recognized as a cif champ. Let's be honest AV played nobody last year in a year where the were dropped to a lower division after being knocked out in quarter 15 times.
AV should put money where mouth is and welcome playing in open division instead of hiding again
