: : : : : :Hello All, info please. What scenarios (other than change of residence) will result a "no sit out" and sit out till January. Thanks, appreciate it.
: : : :
: : : : : This is for next season transfer.
: : : If you don't move, you have to sit out until January except for a couple very well defined exceptions in the CIF handbook.
: : : If I remember correctly, they include (documented) bullying, family issues (divorce, etc.) and other such things.
: : : It is very hard to get them to accept one of the exceptions.
: : : Best bet is to move if you don't want to sit out until January.
: : :If you're going through a financial difficulty and in an independent school where you only get partial aid. Then transferring to a Catholic prep that cost less (plus aids you might qualify for) should results a no sit out periods.
: That won't qualify.
: I say that because I know people that have left private schools for financial reasons and have gone to their home public school and were denied hardship.
:Not totally true, my niece was able to transfer out from private school with no sit out due to hardship. You need to be thorough with your paperwork and provide supporting documents. Also helps if the coach of School you are leaving doesn't contest the transfer.
