: : : : : : If I take my daughter from a school and move to another city is she eligible to play righ away or have to sit.
: : : : : : Eligible right away
: : : : It generally takes a few days/weeks to process everything. You have to do the paperwork between the 2 schools and get CIF approval. It doesn't usually happen overnight -- expect 3-4 weeks for the clearance process. And, although your are moving, your entire family must
move and you still have to convince everyone it isn't athletically motivated.
: : : CIF will have the Schools investigate your move. They will go to your old address and make sure no one in your family is still living there, then they will go to your new address and you'll have to prove by a sale or rental agreement that you just moved there. My advice, if you really didn't do the move correctly, don't try to fake it because if you're caught, your daughter becomes ineligible for an entire year or two. It's not worth it. Plus if she takes someone else's position at the new school there will probably be lots of repercussions. Just not worth putting your daughter thru. Plus by the time it takes to clear your daughter season will probably be over or just about over.
: : We just got a transfer at our school this week. We were told since she has played in a game at the previous school already this season, she can't play again this year, regardless of the move.
: In most cases can't play. My advice is don't do it. Too many consequences.
High profile players get red flagged by the previous coach usually. That is when issues come up. I have been through this process before, CIF can ask for documents such as a lease, utilities, rental truck receipts and etc.
