: : : : : Saw a good game tonight between Canyon and Valencia. Good back and forth battle with Valencia getting the win on a Konrad shot at the buzzer. Just glad no one had to cheat to win the game like Harvard-Westlake did the other night.
: : : : Great first sentence! Terrible second sentence! Nice to know you give credit to the players and then to know you're a sore loser. Give credit to your girls for winning the game and losing the game.
: : : Terrible second sentence? What wrong with my second sentence? You mean my third? All I am do is stir up controversy. But if I am a Millikan fan then what the hell was I doing up at Canyon Country? I was just happy that two teams played their best and didn't have to resort to some form of cheating.
: : : Was in the stands to watch this game as well. Didn't have a favorite in the game. Just wanted to watch a good one. And boy it was very entertaining. Many times the lead changed back and forth between both teams. I think they play each other one more time. All I got to say after watching this game was, "Wow!"
: This was a decent game, no more. Neither team is Elite. People want to say Valencia is open. NOT NOT NOT NOT CLOSE. One decent player, the rest marginal. You don't beat Canyon by 1 and 2 and call yourself Elite. Yes you beat an Alemany team early that wasn't the same as now but Valencia is a pretender, not a contender.
Valencia is an Open team. No doubt. They can't win Open championship, but they are going to win the rest of their regular season games and be like a 12 seed in Open. Regardless of how good you may think they are, there are not 16 teams better than them.
And as for a close game vs. Canyon - most rivalry games are close when both teams have talent. And these girls all mostly grew up playing together or against each other.
As for Canyon - where are the people who thought Canyon was an Open team? I laughed then and I laugh now.
Bottom line - they have not won a big game since....when? They just haven't. They need to learn how to win those games. Next year they will stomp Valencia, but only because Konrad & Co. will graduate.
I'm sure it was an entertaining game and will be again when they play in a couple weeks.
