: : : : : Enough! I just heard some clubs are running in September playing tournaments. THIS IS A RACKET TO KEEP MAKING MONEY FOR THEM.
: : : : : There is no viewing period in fall. Actually the only time coaches can watch you is October with your HS teams in fall league. It is time to start working with your HS teams and strength and conditioning. Tell the club directors you are done. Don't waste your money. If you want pressure put pressure on your HS teams to be in a good fall league as the coaches will be out. No players need to double duty HS and Club. Why risk injury and kill your bodies. Stay fresh for the season. A good regimen is strength train twice to three times a week, play one game and practice twice a week. Get stronger and more fit! NO CLUB. If your HS coach doesn't do anything in the fall then switch schools.
: : : : Please do your homework before you spout off and make a fool of yourself.
: : : : First you say "There is no viewing period in the fall", then you say "...put pressure on your HS teams to be in a good fall league as the coaches will be out". So which is it?
: : : : Lemme clear it up for you. D1s have a contact period from September 9th through September 29th. D2s have a contact period from September 7th through October 4th. D3s have open recruitment. NAIAs have no rules regarding recruiting periods.
: : : : So for those players who don't play at a name high school or a school that has the money to play in a fall league, playing for a club is their best option. No one player is going to miraculously force their HS coach to get into a fall league. And even if a player is playing in a fall league, there's no saying there will be coaches there looking for players. Playing an Etiwanda, Chaminade, Long Beach Poly, or Rosary in fall league? I guarantee the coaches who are there are only there to make themselves seen to the kids they're chasing.
: : : : Terrible advice. Are you a high school coach who is bitter about your players missing fall league games for a club viewing tournament or something?
: : : A contact period is not a viewing period. Coahes cant watch kids with their clubs. Not sure what you are trying to say but coaches are allowed to go to scholastic events in fall only.
: : Sounds like Granada coach LOL!!!!
: The Granada coach is great at placing kids in college. He just got the player of the year in the city section a super sweet deal with a JC in Iowa.
The Granada coach is anything but GREAT at placing kids in college. Read your sentence again, he got the player of the year a sweet deal at a JC in IOWA. That player should have gone D1 to any team in The Big West or many other leagues.
