: : : : : : Congratulations to all girls that made the list this year and also their parents. You deserve to be recognize and we applaud you for your hard work and dedication.
: : : : : :Anyone knows how the selection process is done? How are the girls selected?
: : : : They're voted/selected by their Coach and HS Coaches in their divisions. Can't get more legit than that.
: : : What about 2nd team. Why is first team the only one published and why have a second team if not to recognize?
: : Go to SCIBCA for the second team.
: Why is it that Open has 11 All-Cif, plus 2 co-mvp 13 total. While the rest of divisions have 9+mvp. They could have move up couple more from 2nd team in the non Open divisions. Just my 2cents
SECOND TEAM ALL CIF Recognized by SCIBCA
2018-19 Girls Open Division
Joy Campbell, 11. Etiwanda
Savannah Felix, 12, Rosary
Alyssa Frescas, 10, Mater Dei
Kate Goostrey. 11, Rosary
Anna Johnson, 11, Redondo Union
Alexis Mark, 11, Sierra Canyon
Amanda Olinger, 12, Sierra Canyon
Nnenna Orgi, 11, Etiwanda
Khylee Pepe, 10, Bishop Montgomery
Calli Stokes, 10, Redondo Union
Anaiyah Tu’ua, 11, Troy
McKayla Williams, 11, Windward
Here is the list. I think its rather obvious that each school got two picks on each team. If not, I might switch some from 1st to 2nd and some from 2nd to 1st. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. Top 25 in southern section is pretty darn good. Congrats to all!
