: : : : : : : : : : Coaches that recruit players from other locals schools are killing Girls Basketball. Instead of having balanced teams, you have one or two monster teams in leagues when it can easily be 6 balanced teams if girls didn't get recruited by the so-called "great coach that cares about you" and went to their home school.
: : : : : : : : : :Mr Tough guy strikes again!
: : : : : : : : : : Stop killing girls basketball.
: : : : : : : : : : This was another PSA by The Tough Guy
: : : : : : : : If the coach is truly good and can develop players, players will flock to him/her. That is not recruiting!
: : : : : : : :That is not what happens. The coaches usually go to the players, contact parents and what not....and then.. the big problem...is when the kid gets the "Scholarship" or paid tuition to play basketball when the CIF explicitly in the blue book says that it is ILLEGAL to give athletic scholarships in CIFSS
: : : : : : >>> If the coach knows the game of basketball and is a good coach he/she should be able to develop players. They really need to stop recruiting. If they have to recruit that shows that can't coach which makes them look bad.
: : : : : :If the opportunity is there to attend an academically better school then why would anyone pass to it? To be in a Prep schools with less than 10 students per class and professors with Dr degrees, it's not all about basketball. But it is basketball that opens doors for some of these athletes. Don't deny them these opportunities just so you can have a better basketball program. That's just the way it is. peace
: : : : The reality is that it is all about basketball...no doubt it may be a better option and I understand why parents take advantage but the fact is that the coach and the school are cheating...end of story...and if the rules are broken, there should be consequences
: : : that's the end of YOUR story. LOL. Folks accusing other folks of deciding to go to private school for basketball reasons. But you on here OPENLY telling these same folks you are accusing, to stay at or return to their public school, FOR THEM SAME BASKETBALL REASONS. THAT'S UNDUE INFLUENCE! Why would I listen to some hypocritical s&*% like that?!
: : :You need an elementary reading course. Nothing hypocritical in what I wrote. I said ..now are you reading.... Never did I say anything about parents leaving or staying at a private school nor did I condemn them as doing something bad for their kids. But Its the schools that ARE CHEATING AND SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE WHEN THEY GIVE ILLEGAL SCHOLARSHIPS...which are BASKETBALL scholarships....to students....is is all about basketball...don't try to kid yourself
: I never do kid myself. That's why your feelings of "cheating" as it relates to a game called BASKETBALL will never be weighed when school decisions that affect my kids' futures are being made. Keep crying over that spilled milk if you like. That's your time wasted! But in regards to your last post as a whole, You are exactly right. Don't recall your original post advising anyone to stay at their local high school. Was referring to the ones that do, like "Tough Guy." My 1st sentence ONLY was referring to your original post. Not all about basketball like YOUR first sentence says. I apologize. I definitely could have done a better job of clarifying that. But since we're on the subject of advise, 1st off thanks for the advise regarding my reading skills. Now a little advise on your WRITING SKILLS: Your original post, the way YOU wrote it, CLEARLY suggests that "the coach and the school are cheating" when "parents take advantage" of a "better option." Your words. You did a much better job explaining yourself in your subsequent post though. But "don't kid yourself." You need an elementary writing course. That would definitely help with my reading comprehension of your posts. Thanks again for the advise.
