: : : : A couple weeks into season, so here is first shot at potential City Section Open Division:

: : : : 1. Palisades - still the team to beat
: : : : 2. El Camino Real - good and improving team playing brutal schedule
: : : : 3. Granada Hills - steady but hasn't really played anyone yet
: : : : 4. Fairfax - transfer from Price could move them up next month
: : : : 5. Carson - some nice pieces and coach has them playing hard
: : : : 6. Legacy - need to beat a good team
: : : : 7. View Park - like what coach is doing; needs more good players
: : : : 8. Westchester/Birmingham/Narbonne - fighting it out to lose to Pali in first round.

: : : : I will try to update every week or so.

: : : Pali is winning city, El camino doesn't match up well against them. Like Granada to make it to the finals this year.

: : View Park, your kidding right????

:
: Not really. It's all relative.

: They can't compete with most SS teams, but in the City they can. They have size and some other decent kids. Coach seems to know what they are doing and they run their stuff. They just lack depth and don't make enough shots. Guess what? That's most teams, especially in City.

: Don't get me wrong, they will lose in first round. If it played out like this, they would play El Camino and get run off the court. But someone has to be in the 6-8 slots.

city is down, pali will easily win the city. every year everyone talks about el camino and nothing. granada is good, people keep talking about some transfer coming to fax. It's wide open for 2nd place.
