: : My picks: SC, Chaminade, Flintridge, RHP, St B, Brentwood, Granada, Carson

: Being in a tough league pays off. Trinity League teams Mater Dei and Rosary in Open. Santa Margarita and Orange Lutheran battle tested and advance to semis of their division. Gold Coast has Sierra Canyon and Windward in Open. Brentwood in semis along with Crossroads in their division. Lets not forget Roosevelt, King and Santiago from the Big 8.

I dont know about the other leagues but the Trinity League did not play Home and Away games this year. So playing 4 games in "league" play may not make you battle tested.
Looking at the schedules for OL and SMCHS they had nobody tough on their schedules.
The divisions they are in would be won by any division 1 team that got by round 1 in D1 this season.

As for having to play tough teams out of league to make you battle tested, Serra played a very tough schedule and lost in the quarters to Keppel yesterday. Kep is a respected team but they were a 2AA semi finalist loser last year.
