: : : : : : : : : 2pm

: : : : : : : : Alemany is a mess. Time to drop them. PG not on team anymore. Big wing hasn't been playing - maybe hurt???? Not sure.

: : : : : : : : Either way, they aren't beating any of the top teams anymore.

: : : : : : : : And I think Harvard Westlake is too high. Guess we will find out tomorrow night.

: : : : : : : : I am OK with Bishop Montgomery where they are for now, but I fully expect them to be in CIF Open finals against winner of Sierra/Windward tomorrow.

: : : : : : : The jury is still out on King. I'd like to see them beat a top 10 team. Until then let's put Troy or Poly into that 7 spot.

: : : : : : MLK did beat a top 10 team. They beat Centennial by double digits. Impressive.

: : : : : Centennial is not on anyone's Top 10 list unless you are discussing the top 10 teams in Corona.

: : : : According to CIF, Centennial is a top team and their opinion is all that matters. I know it upsets up to admit it, but MLK and Centennial are the real deal and both top teams. Where does your daughter play?

: : : She doesn't play hoops. Just here to share 411 and mix in that cream and sugar with your coffee every morning. Keep balling out, it's all good. Remember tho last season, yall played a tougher schedule and got bounced by Canyon in Round 2. This year the team doesn't even looked prepped to play top teams in the playoffs. Exposure is coming 1 way or another.

: : For someone that doesn't have a dog in the fight you sure know a lot about MLK and Centennial. I'm calling BS and saying your daughter wasn't good enough to play at a big school so now you keep up with these teams because it's the only way you have to stay relevant. Your daughter is probably playing somewhere at a low end 5AA school and you're content because she is starting and getting minutes. Great job Hoops dad; way to teach her some life lessons.

: Hoopzdad = not a player, who's daughter plays in 5AA. Dang dog, looks like you the one that got exposed. Bwahaha

Hey Big VIII, sorry to have hurt your feelings. I don't live in the land of mobile homes, manure and meth labs but I've seen your team play and they're a nice team. You should be able to go deep in the D1 playoffs and contend for a Southern Section title, maybe even make a little noise in State.

But you're playing an easy schedule. Take a look at the D1 Southern Section rankings in Max Preps. Your strength of schedule is 9.6 which is the weakest in the Top 25. The only other teams in the top 25 that are playing a cupcake schedule even close to that are St Mary's, Arcadia and Saugus, and no one is talking about any of those schools getting into the Open either. Beating Centennial is nice and they are ranked in the top 10 but you also lost to JW North who is ranked 19 on that list. When it comes time for Open teams to be picked, the top 7 teams on that list are going to make it: SC, MD, Etiwanda, Redondo, Windward, BM and Rosary. Number 8 will probably be Troy or Serra, both of which have played a schedule that is more than twice as hard as your schedule. No one wants to see your team get smacked around in the Open. Those teams don't want to waste their time with you. It's no reflection on your daughter, but your team just isn't ready. Swallow your pride and cheer for your kid to hang a banner in your gym. If Coach thinks you guys have what it takes he'll put you in some better non-league games next year. Good luck this season.
