: : Sac HS won the game, great job.
: : EHI best player was held in check by officials and NOT by the opponent. Two EHS players fouled out early in 4th qtr. EHS down by 1, 4th qtr with 13 sec on the game clock. EHS deliberately trying to foul, but officials waited until 1.3 sec to call foul in the front court. 2 free throws game over.
: : There has to be accountability for the inconsistent officiating and floor coverage.
: As my old ball coach used to say never let the referees become a factor in a game or use them as an excuse to why you lost. First of all, Etiwanda is playing out of their pond where they are a big fish. In the pond they are in for this tournament their style of play and the Etiwanda's coach's antics isn't going to go over well and will not be tolerated. Kids fouled out because Etiwanda player's play out of control and with little to no discipline. So it is easy for a referee to call fouls against Etiwanda and get players in foul trouble. It goes back to coaching. The referees probably called the game straight up and you didn't like the fact that Etiwanda didn't get the calls that they usually get away with down here.
Etiwanda plays like gangsters and if the officiating is good, then Etiwanda loses the game. Etiwanda doesn't know how to play fundamental basketball with good solid defense and blocking out techniques. It's just bad style of basketball that they push, shove, reach, etc. Glad to the officials call a great game and not let Etiwanda get away with bullying.
