: : :You make 4 divisions of 3 teams each. The winner of each division goes to the Championship Round. Those who finish second go to their bracket. Those who finish 3rd go to their bracket. There would be no tie breaker except head to head competition.

: : If you have a three team pool, each team could go 1-1. Quarters won is not the worst tiebreaker in the world. It's better than winning margins.

: You're wrong. Quarters won will only cause Coaches to keep in their starters even in a blow out to win every quarter. If you balance the three team pools then you're not very likely to have three teams going 1 and 1. Even then it should be point differential even though I support less points given up. Another thing the Coach could've done is make 2 different divisions that don't play each other. One weak division and one strong division. Each team plays everyone in their division. This is what many tournaments are currently doing so the games are more competitive and less big blow outs.

You can't do pools of 3 because you would need 3 days to play each other then another 2 for bracket play.

Day 1 A vs B
Day 2 B vs C
Day 3 A vs C

Day 4- 4 Winners play semi
Day 5 placing game

Other wise teams would have to play twice in a day.

Looks like you need to learn how to do brackets, not the coach
