: : : : : : These rules of girls not being able to roll up shorts, matching undershirts, headbands have to match are rediculous. Let the refs ref the game and not be the fashion police!

: : : : : You need to direct your comments to NFHS. Officials are just enforcing the rules

: : : : You have to set standards... The shorts thing is a simple fix, Just buy shorter shorts.. Lu Lu Lemon makes a great running short as does Nike, so just buy a shorter short, or is it a fashion thing thats more important to you? The matching undershirt is to make certain they keep home vs away coloring in line. You wear a white jersey with a dark undershirt and the home the other team has a dark undershirt its a small problem but still a problem. Are you against jewelry on player during a game , boys and girls? Some rules are arbitrary but many hold a set standard. Be irritated at your athletes coach too. They should know the rules , and should discuss the rules so you don't have a confrontation with a ref about a dress code rule. As a coach myself there were some rules I dont agree with or even understand but my job is to adapt or ,make a push for change if necessary.

: : : If schools could afford to buy new uniforms each year, the no rolling of shorts rule is fine. When you have to wear uniforms from the year before, rolling of shorts (tucking the drawstring) becomes necessary for a 5'2" players.

: : The School can buy one pair of short shorts. Only the color needs to match.

Kids need to stop rolling shorts up all diaper style. Props to any ref who puts and end to that.
