: I have a question and I felt there was no better place then to ask it here ...... Is it a high school coach’s job to get their players to the next level of play I ask that because in my county the coaches are very content with the players going to the local jucos to the point that they don’t even try to get there players looks ...... Ive seen a good amount of players just in the last few years that I thought could go to a 4 year school that either stopped playing or just Wined up at the local Juco ..... is it it the “club” coaches job to get them to the next level
As a student athlete, with all of the tools at your disposal, it is you and your families responsibility to find a spot for you. If you were a d-1 or even d-2 player you would be getting recruited for the most part.
If that is not happening take matters in your own hands.#1. Make up a 3 minute highlite tape. #2. Find a quarter that you played well in and send that. Just a quarter. #3. Research schools that fit your academic needs and where you want to live for next 4 years.(Check out cost and average debt after graduation) #4. Send it to schools. Tape or stream or file. #5. Have your head coach or club coach contact staff.
There are many great institutions that need players. *Send transcripts while you are at it.. NOT YOUR HS COACHES RESPONSIBILITY. (But I do it if kids want to play) Best Advice!!!
