: : : : She looked like she tore into her team after halftime and lit the proverbial fire under their a**es. They came back after a horrible first quarter to trounce #14 Georgia 80-69. Fourth quarter was 31-18 UCLA. Close might prove the naysayers wrong.

: : : The same people that were blaming her for the LMU loss should be praising her today. Bottom line is the players lost the game at LMU with an uninspired effort, they got healthy, and she coached a decent game today. Press bothered Georgia. She got out of the zone when they were thrashing it, ran some huge BLOB plays. She is a decent coach but the reality is THE PLAYERS showed up unlike the PLAYERS that did not show up last game. SHE ALL OF THE SUDDEN DIDNT LEARN HOW TO COACH IN A WEEKEND. SHE WAS THE SAME COACH TODAY AS SHE WAS AGAINST LMU AND WILL BE ALL YEAR. DECENT, NOT THE BEST. GOOD FOR UCLA. Quality win

: : She just signed a new long term contract with UCLA. She's there for a long, long time. And I also agree she's a very average coach so we'll continue seeing surprising wins like Georgia and surprising losses like LMU. Just like Steve Lavin and even Kathy Olivier.

: Why the heck did they play an 11 AM game on a Wednesday morning? Strange.

They played an 11am because they got 5.000 students from MS and packed the place from field trips. It was an electric atmosphere. I was stunned also and went to the game. It was 4800 students and 200 regulars. No UCLA students. I promise it actually made a difference.
