: : Ayanna 13 pts 17 rebounds tonight....her team CAC beats New Mexico JC(Number one team in the nation according to one poll) at New Mexico JC 61-58....Yanni just getting back into shape when she does the rest of the JCs are in big trouble....Beastmode
: Her first game she got 6 fouls* in 30 minutes in a narrow win over an average team. When she learns to keep herself in the game she will rack up some big numbers.
: NMJC was the pre-season number one, but the first poll is always highly influenced by the previous season. New Mexico was 30-4 last season, but they graduated their top four scorers so they probably aren't a championship contender this season.

6 fouls would be a welcome change, all the down to the high school level.
It eliminates the best players sitting on the bench so much early for whatever reason - their over-aggressiveness, bad calls/wrong calls, or officials "making the game about them". This would also improve the quality of the game, especially for teams that lack depth - which is almost every high school team at this point.
Also, we all know refs don't like to foul people out, especially "stars", so this way it may allow them to call the game all the way through instead of having to let fouls go to keep someone in the game.
