: : MD's returning center from injury is the
: : real deal, MD will go inside and out on you
: : now,the big girl is a load, runs the floor
: : well, opposing players will pick up a lot
: : of fouls on themselves guarding her in the
: : paint.

: : Probably why Pepe (and father) would not have
: : been enough balls for everyone at MD, and
: : MD's backcourt is solid, a lot of good depth.

: That maybe true but MD had Torbert whom I'd say is better then any big on the roster right now and they couldn't get pass Windward/Etiwanda. So you are saying the big whom is coming off injury is going to do what Torbert could not?

: MD will not have a problem in the OC, but they will have a hard time defending elite players from Etiwanda, Windward, SC ETC...

: Pepe gave them the versatility/toughness to be able to compete against the above teams. Hard to replace that imo.

Pepe, Torbert, Freeman did not play vs Etiwanda and MD lost by single digits and had a chance to win the game. Pepe, didnít play vs Clovis West and Torbert was 65% at best, Crocker at 70% and MD almost pulled it off. Frescas, Demetre, and Crocker are the real deal, and their supporting cast is solid and they know their roles. There wonít be much drop off after losing so much especially with those 3.

Amosa (Sophomore Big) will be better then Torbert when itís all said and done. The kid works hard and has a great attitude and her teammates love playing with her. Pepe is a heck of a player, one of the top sophomores in the country, but will she get enough shots with Padilla and Williams? Will this be her last stop? Itís Going to be a fun season.
