: : : One key and necessary Laker addition is a back up low post efender. When McGee goes to the bench, the Lakers have no answer defending the likes of LeMarcus Aldridge, Yokich and other bigs in the low post . Adding Lucas Nogueia, Tarik Black or even trading for Tyson Chandler would be a wise move and improve their team immensely !

: : Trading for Chandler is nearly impossible, as Rondo and KCP are the only two salaries that could be used to match 80% of Chandler's $13.8 Million salary.

: : Neither is likely to agree to go to Phoenix, since all vet players on one year deals have automatic no-trade clauses. It's possible an Eastern Conference team would step in to facilitate the deal, but chances are the Lakers have to wait until March 1 and hope the Suns buy him out rather than find a trade partner.

: : Black and Nougiera could help but the Lakers would have to cut Zubac or Beasley, and they want to see what happens with Wagner before waiving people. Also Johnathan Williams III plays with heart and knows how to take charges, despite being undersized.

: Don't sweat it. Anthony Davis is going to opt out this summer and he'll be here before you know it. Lakers will also add another impact player, most likely Leonard or Butler. The KCP era will be ending soon in LA.

To the poster that said all vets that sign one year contracts have a no trade clause, you're mistaken. Recently signed players can't be traded until December 15th, but at that point, KCP and Rondo both could be traded without their permission.

Also, the Lakers have 14 players under contract and could add a player without waiving someone. When they signed Jonathan Williams, it was to a two way contract. They released Wear to open that spot for him. They still have an open roster spot.

To the original poster, his name is Jokic.

As for adding a player into the rotation that is going to get minutes, I don't see it happening. Now that BI is back, I would imagine they Lakers go small again when McGee comes out of the game and Jonathan Williams is out of the rotation. If Williams (or a new low post defender) continues to play, who is coming out of the rotation? Maybe KCP, but the Lakers like him and they didn't pay him 12M to be replaced by a bargain big man they pick up several games into the season. Here comes more Kuzma at the 5.
