: : : I had the pleasure of watching many teams play over the summer and here is my list of top teams in no particular order:
: : : 1. Mater Dei: as expected, idk about the coaching.
: : : 2. MlK: consistently good and well coached.
: : : 3. Etiwanda: amazing combo of size and skill.
: : : 4. Rosary: transfers galore. Talented bunch.
: : : 5. Bishop Montgomery: iffy coaching in 3 games.
: : : 6. Centennial: very quick and physical.
: : : 7. Mission Hills: great shooting team.
: : : 8. Keppel: bad coaching with lots of talent.
: : : 9. S.C.: good all around
: : : 10. Christian: talented bunch.
: : Santa Monica, with the Beverly Hills transfer, has to be considered one of the top teams in SoCal.
: King? You must be joking. King has never made it past the quarterfinals in the playoffs and they won't this season. King plays nobody and will again this year. King had a Division 1 guard and still couldn't win down in Division 1A or make it past the quarterfinals. To put them 2nd shows that you have no clue about what you are talking about. Please don't say King is well coached. King's coach always gets outcoached in the big games and it will happen again. King will be a top 10 seed in Division 1 and lose in the quarterfinals again! Mark it down.
I didn't post to start a war, but I did state that they were in no particular order. As for the coaching, I have seen Mlk about 3 times this season against pretty favorable opponents. They come across as very well coached, organized and structured. The girls play hard for him and seem to respect him. Good coaching decisions have been made in all of the games. IMO, that makes for a good coach. Seems like certain posts have a vendetta against certain programs and a personal issue with coaches.
