: : : : : Which squad you got if:
: : : : : 1. Windward - any team in SoCal got a chance to beat em?
: : : : : Sierra Canyon this year's squad vs last year? I would take last years.
: : : : : Mater Dei vs Bishop Montgomery
: : : : : I still take MD.
: : : : : Etiwanda vs Serra
: : : : : Yes they were 1-1 last season and Eti seems to get more love, I roll with Serra
: : :
: : : : 1. Barring injury, I got Windward against everyone (though anything can happen on a given night).
: : : : 2. Sierra last year definitely over this year - no answer for Ryann Payne...
: : : : 3. I'm going Bishop Montgomery with Pepe playing with a big chip on her shoulder.
: : : : 4. I'm going Etiwanda - just more talent. But Alexis Tucker is a flat out stud.
: : : Windward no need to even talk about it.
: : : Sierra Canyon need to improve on Defense with out it they will only make it in open but not much else. After their 7 person Rotation their Bench is not impressive
: : : Mater Dei vs Bishop Montgomery both being OC the refs will not mess this one up Bishop will take it.
: : : Etiwanda will choke on any important games like club times. forget the players coaching not even close. Serra
: : 1. Windward may lose. Its time.
: : 2. Sierra is better than last year. Ryann Payne was amazing player no doubt. The main pieces improved greatly over the summer. Playing in the EYBL..
: : 3. I say Bishop Montgomery will get the Win over Mater Dei. A little bit of a grudge match.
: : 4. Etiwanda will defeat Serra especially if they aren't at home. Etiwanda looks GOOD.
: who are the main pieces in Sierra Canyon you are referring to.
It has to be Olinger and DeJesus. No doubt they got better. Olinger just committed to USD, and DeJesus will get her ride when the time comes next year.
But Payne could take over the game offensively, defensively and even on the boards. And she was smart and rarely made bad decisions. This year's team, minus her, puts the ball in another player's hands even more, who tends to be prone to high volumes of turnovers.
