: : : : : : : : : : I believe that I understood what I read in the playoff division breakdown from CIF office last week. CIF states that open teams will be selected from from Division 1 only. So, I am not quite sure why I see all these folks out there talking about some teams in other divisions that they think will make the Open. There may be like 2/3 teams outside Division 1 that have the talent, but have not shown they can play with the so called big boys yet. Correct me if I am wrong. It states it right above the Division 1 teams list.

: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : Not sure what you are referencing...if they changed it this year it would make no sense. The rule was specifically designed to allow for teams that are way too good for their division for some reason (such as Ribet last year who recruited a super-team but now are bad again).

: : : : : : : : The likely team that might come from a lower division this year is Lakeside. Saw them several times over summer/fall and they look really good. But only time will tell when real games start.

: : : : : : : Don't forget Granada Hills. They won all their games do far. Dominating Burroughs league, even put a beatdown on power house like Sierra Canyon last month.

: : : : : : Ribet parents left I thought Granada parents left with the seniors I must be wrong because they are still talking Burroughs like it is CIF state finals

: : : : :
: : : : : Hey GH Genius...this thread is clearly about the Southern Section Open Division.

: : : : : Granada plays in the City Section.

: : : : : And for the billionth time, don't talk about fall league. The games don't count, and obviously some coaches are way more into it than others. For example, Komaki would never get thrown out of a fall league game.

: : : : That game was 100% legit. Not sure why u can't accept it, you lose some you win some, it's part of the game. There's always next time, be a good sport. You can't win all the time (-;

: : :
: : : I wasn't at "that game", nor could I care who won. Not really a fan of either team.

: : : However, just to clarify:

: : : The original post was about Southern Section Open division,so even bringing up Granada being in it is not even possible.

: : : Second, any fall league result, regardless of how "legit" you may think it is/was, is meaningless. They are basically scrimmages. Everyone plays, players are missing, JV players are getting a look. Who cares? Checking MaxPreps, it looks like they play during the real, actual season, so they can settle it then.

: : : Third, I tried to make a joke about coaches getting kicked out of fall leagues to illustrate how different coaches approach such leagues. I know the GH coach has been, and I only randomly picked Komaki to mention because she could care less about fall league in general and generally barely even manages the subs. I remember her letting Payne, Grigsby, Burke, etc. do the coaching in the past. So she was a good "opposite" example.

: : Yawn, am so bored. Bottom line, GH 1 SC 0. Enough said.

: And I am here yawning waiting to see Granada Hills actually win the City Section Open Division but like the Dodgers, Granada Hills keep choking every year. The other day I was walking into Granada Hills's gym and saw a sign warning about a choking hazard.

LOL!!! Dodgers, Clippers ,and Bills LOL
