: : : : : : : : : : : I will post one division per day at 9pm each night. I am not claiming to be right. I have seen a lot of these teams done research and this is just my opinion. I for sure made some mistakes and I welcome one day of commentary as to your opinions as well. This is just to start conversation. Please refrain from negativity. The more info the better

: : : : : : : : : : : Open teams

: : : : : : : : : : : 1. Windward
: : : : : : : : : : : 2. Sierra Canyon
: : : : : : : : : : : 3. Mater Dei
: : : : : : : : : : : 4. Bishop Montgomery
: : : : : : : : : : : 5. Etiwanda
: : : : : : : : : : : 6. Serra
: : : : : : : : : : : 7. Orangewood Academy (Only because they will cruise in 2AA)
: : : : : : : : : : : 8. Lakeside (Only because they will cruise in 2A)

: : : : : : : : : : : Top 16 D1
: : : : : : : : : : : 1. Keppel
: : : : : : : : : : : 2. Redondo
: : : : : : : : : : : 3. LB Poly
: : : : : : : : : : : 4. Rosary
: : : : : : : : : : : 5. Fairmont Prep
: : : : : : : : : : : 6. West
: : : : : : : : : : : 7. Brea
: : : : : : : : : : : 8. Chaminade
: : : : : : : : : : : 9. ML King
: : : : : : : : : : : 10. St Anthony
: : : : : : : : : : : 11. Troy
: : : : : : : : : : : 12. Harvard Westlake
: : : : : : : : : : : 13. Alemany
: : : : : : : : : : : 14. Vista Murrieta
: : : : : : : : : : : 15. Centennial
: : : : : : : : : : : 16. J Serra

: : : : : : : : : : : Others: Lynwood, Santa Barbara, Downey, Los Osos, JW North, Sonora, Los Alamitos

: : : : : : : : : : : Outlook: Once you take the open teams out, and I think there are 6 guarantees, then the next two can be anyone, this division is wide open. Anyone can win in the top 20 if they go on a run. This is a brutal but even division. CIF did exactly what they wanted to do.

: : : : : : : : : : : Curious to see any other opinions.

: : : : : : : : : : With the addition of the transfer from Beverly Hills, Santa Monica will be in the Open Division. Guaranteed.

: : : : : : : : : They would need 5 and a new coach!

: : : : : : : : I would move Etiwanda up to #2 or 3, saw them this weekend, they beat every team by 20+ with ease. And put Bishop Montgomery ahead of Mater Dei.

: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : I think Lakeside has a good chance at Open, maybe not so much Orangewood.

: : : : : : : I think the last spot may go to someone out of Redondo, Rosary, Fairmont Prep.

: : : : : : Rosary should get in to open they have excellent transfers that came in

: : : : : Who transferred?

: : : : Saw Rosary play at the WCP tournament. Looks like the guard
: : : : (Avinger) from Los Al transferred there.

: : : there is more if they mesh good together they will be an open division team

: : Rosary got some interesting transfers and couple nice freshies. Open though? I doubt it. Not enough size.

: :Orangewood and Lakeside aren't eligible for the Open, according to the CIF-SS Division Brackets. It states that open teams will come from Division 1 teams only. Check me if I'm wrong. Saw Alemany and Bishop Montgomery play Saturday at Santa Monica CC and neither looks that great. I'll say this though, if you can take teams from other divisions, better watch out for St. Mary's Academy. There starting 5 looks way better then Alemany and Bishop. Keep an eye on them. Lakeside plays weak competition and they are not very disciplined. They might be athletic, but aren't very good with execution. Orangewood is a question mark this year, they lost 4 big seniors.

St Mary’s Academy? You’re joking, right? That team is in a non competitive league and has no talent. Probably the St Mary’s coach posting lol Alemany would take St Mary’s easily, same with Bishop. Not even in the same caliber of talent.
